    Jascha Heifetz was the last word “crossover artist” earlier than the time period existed.

    Through the Second World War, Heifetz joined widespread entertainers corresponding to Bing Crosby and Bob Hope in performances for U.S. servicemen.

    Heifetz’ collaborations with Crosby included this efficiency, recorded in Los Angeles on July 13, 1946, months after the Struggle’s finish. Accompanied by the studio musicians of the Victor Younger Orchestra, Heifetz and Crosby carried out the Berceuse (Lullaby) from the opera, Jocelyn, by French composer Benjamin Godard (1849-1895).

    About Timothy Judd

    A local of Upstate New York, Timothy Judd has been a member of the Richmond Symphony violin part since 2001. He’s a graduate of the Eastman College of Music the place he earned the levels Bachelor of Music and Grasp of Music, learning with world famend Ukrainian-American violinist Oleh Krysa.

    The son of public college music educators, Timothy Judd started violin classes on the age of 4 via Eastman’s Neighborhood Training Division. He was a pupil of Anastasia Jempelis, one of many earliest champions of the Suzuki methodology in the US.

    A passionate instructor, Mr. Judd has maintained a personal violin studio within the Richmond space since 2002 and has been lively teaching chamber music and quite a few youth orchestra sectionals.

    In his free time, Timothy Judd enjoys figuring out with Richmond’s widespread SEAL Staff Bodily Coaching program.
