There’s nothing swish about Just A Gent‘s newest launch, and that’s precisely the purpose. Out now by way of Rezz’s HypnoVizion label, “Freak Of Nature” crashes into the body with unpredictably uncooked brush strokes of impulsive genius.

Australian producer Jacob Grant, higher often called Simply A Gent, embraces his most unruly instincts on this three-minute sound sculpture. Equal components spasm and soliloquy, the monitor navigates fixed sharp pivots with surgical precision. Glitch-heavy percussion interacts with theatrical builds, whereas warped melodies flare and disappear like dying stars. It defies any notion of simplicity or enjoying by the foundations, a sense that Grant created by design.

“’Freak Of Nature’ is a tune created whereas reflecting on how insane evolution is and the way far we’ve come as a species,” Grant stated in a press launch shared with EDM.com. “We’re all freaks in a technique or one other and that is me expressing my weirder aspect.”

Grant affords listeners little downtime throughout the monitor, protecting the viewers on their toes with ebbs and flows of incessantly experimental sound design. The pacing is pure midtempo menace, completely “Rezz-coded,” as Grant famous in a recent Instagram post. Along with his HypnoVizion debut, Simply A Gent leverages a beneficial alternative to reveal the interior workings of his private and inventive creativity, and he did so in a manner that may certainly earn him a bevy of recent followers.

You’ll be able to hearken to “Freak Of Nature” by Simply A Gent beneath.
