Poliça have introduced their new album, Goals Go, set for launch on October seventeenth through Memphis Industries. To accompany the information, they’ve shared the title observe. Stream it under.
Recorded at Pachyderm Studio in Minnesota, the eight-track album is Poliça’s most emotionally resonant so far, because it was written and tracked within the months following bassist Chris Bierden’s glioblastoma prognosis. These had been his closing periods with the band earlier than dropping the power to play.
The result’s a robust, unflinching assortment that captures Poliça at a second of transition. Led by vocalist Channy Leaneagh, the band continues to increase on its mix of digital minimalism and layered synth-pop, with manufacturing by longtime collaborator Ryan Olson and visitor work from Swedish producer Peder Mannerfelt.

In an announcement, Leaneagh described the title observe as “an anthem for the goals we swallow, bury away whereas life goes on with out them.” The one gives a preview of the file’s introspective tone — one which balances grief and wonder, heaviness and hope.
Since their emergence in 2011, Poliça have solid a definite house in modern music, recognized for pushing the boundaries of type and feeling. Following within the footsteps of 2022’s Madness, their sixth studio album continues in that spirit whereas serving as a tribute to the inventive bond that formed the band’s first decade.
Although Bierden is not going to return to the stage, Poliça will tour with a brand new dwell lineup that includes bassist Alex Nutter.
