    Eddie Palmieri, the pianist, composer, band chief, and innovator of Latin music, handed away final Wednesday, August 6 at his dwelling in New Jersey. He was 88.

    Born in East Harlem to a Puerto Rican immigrant household and raised within the South Bronx, Palmieri was uncovered to jazz within the New York Metropolis public faculty system. As a toddler, he often accompanied his brother, Charlie Palmieri, who grew to become a outstanding jazz musician additionally.

    As a musical innovator, Eddie Palmieri helped form the sound of salsa with disparate components which included jazz, funk, mambo, cha-cha, and rock.     About Timothy Judd

    A local of Upstate New York, Timothy Judd has been a member of the Richmond Symphony violin part since 2001. He’s a graduate of the Eastman Faculty of Music the place he earned the levels Bachelor of Music and Grasp of Music, learning with world famend Ukrainian-American violinist Oleh Krysa.

    The son of public faculty music educators, Timothy Judd started violin classes on the age of 4 by means of Eastman’s Neighborhood Schooling Division. He was a pupil of Anastasia Jempelis, one of many earliest champions of the Suzuki technique in america.
