    Atlanta News Station Airs Report On BRENT HINDS’ Death

    Brent Hinds, the previous lead guitarist and vocalist of acclaimed Atlanta heavy metallic band Mastodon, died following a motorcycle accident late Wednesday night, August 20. He was 51.

    Based on Atlanta police, Hinds was driving a Harley-Davidson motorbike when he collided with a BMW SUV making a left flip on the intersection of Memorial Drive SE and Boulevard SE, lower than two miles from downtown Atlanta. Officers responded to the scene round 11:35 p.m., discovering Hinds unresponsive. Emergency medical employees pronounced him useless shortly after.     Tributes have also poured in from across the music industry.     Hinds co-founded Mastodon in 2000 alongside Troy Sanders, Brann Dailor, and Invoice Kelliher. For 25 years, the lineup remained unchanged, releasing eight acclaimed studio albums together with 2002’s Remission and 2021’s Hushed And Grim. Mastodon scored 9 entries on the Billboard 200, six Grammy nominations, and gained a Grammy Award for Finest Metallic Efficiency in 2018 for his or her track “Sultan’s Curse”.
