SBS’s upcoming drama “Queen Mantis” has unveiled a brand new preview of its first episode!
A remake of the French collection “La Mante,” “Queen Mantis” is a criminal offense thriller starring Go Hyun Jung as Jung Yi Shin, a well-known serial killer nicknamed “The Mantis” who brutally murdered 5 males 20 years in the past and has been imprisoned ever since. When a brand new serial killer emerges, copying The Mantis’s distinctive model, the police method Jung Yi Shin for her help in fixing the case.
Jang Dong Yoon will star as Jung Yi Shin’s estranged son Cha Soo Yeol, a detective who has hated his mom all his life however all of the sudden finds himself working along with her to resolve the Mantis copycat murders.
The preview begins with detective Choi Jung Ho (Jo Sung Ha) on the scene of the copycat crime, noting that the wrongdoer imitated a homicide from 23 years in the past. He then tells Cha Soo Yeol, “Jung Yi Shin has agreed to assist with this case.” However when Cha Soo Yeol learns that he should meet his mom face-to-face, he angrily exclaims in disbelief, “What did you simply say to me? You’re asking me to fulfill who?”
Nonetheless, Choi Jung Ho factors out, “If we don’t catch [the killer] now, there will probably be increasingly more victims sooner or later. If we ignore folks that we are able to save, what’s the distinction between that and killing them?”
Compelled to reunite along with his mom to avoid wasting lives, Cha Soo Yeol lastly agrees to fulfill her, and the teaser ends with Jung Yi Shin greeting her son for the primary time in years.
