Sharp Pins Announces New Album, Shares Video for New Song “(I Wanna) Be Your Girl”: Watch

Kai Slater, of the Chicago rock trio Lifeguard, has introduced a brand new album from his bed room pop mission Sharp Pins: Balloon Balloon Balloon is out November 21 (by way of K/Perennial). Slater labored on his new album between January and Could of this 12 months. He recorded it at his Chicago dwelling and with Hayes Waring on the producer’s Olympia, Washington, studio, Cell Management.

Slater launched his first Sharp Pins album, Turtle Rock, in 2023, by way of his personal Hallogallo Tapes label. The subsequent 12 months, he self-released Radio DDR, earlier than it received an expanded re-release, by way of Ok and Perennial, in March.

Slater handles guitar and vocals in Lifeguard. He’s joined within the band by bassist, baritone guitarist, and vocalist Asher Case and drummer and synthesizer participant Isaac Lowenstein. Lifeguard launched their debut studio album, Ripped and Torn, in June.
