My Chemical Romance introduced out Billy Corgan as a shock visitor throughout their live performance at Chicago’s Soldier Subject on Friday evening, welcoming the Smashing Pumpkins’ frontman to affix them for a efficiency of “Bullet With Butterfly Wing.”

In introducing Corgan, MCR frontman Gerard Method stated seeing Smashing Pumpkins’ Mellon Collie and the Infinite Disappointment tour impressed his personal pursuit of music. “We noticed that and was like, ‘We might love to do that, it might be actual fucking wonderful.” Talking particularly of Pumpkins’ Mellon Collie anthem “Bullet With Butterfly Wing,” Method added, “This track is the final word rock defiance to me, it’s like searing an imprint on the universe in pure fucking defiance. It’s the finest rock n’ roll track ever fucking made.”

Keep tuned for our full assessment of MCR’s live performance at Soldier Subject. The band has two extra dates on its “Black Parade” at Boston’s Fenway Park and Raymond James Stadium in Tampa going down in September (get tickets here).
