Ha Jung Woo’s upcoming directorial movie “The Folks Upstairs” has launched its first poster and trailer!

“The Folks Upstairs” tells the unpredictable story that unfolds when a pair residing upstairs (Ha Jung Woo and Lee Ha Nee) and a pair residing downstairs (Gong Hyo Jin and Kim Dong Wook) find yourself sharing a dinner collectively after nightly conflicts over noise between flooring.

The movie marks Ha Jung Woo’s fourth directorial venture, following “Fasten Your Seatbelt,” “Chronicle of a Blood Service provider,” and the 2025 movie “Foyer.”

The launch poster options the 4 leads alongside sharp, memorable strains from their characters. In it, Mr. Kim (Ha Jung Woo), the upstairs husband, stares intently on the downstairs couple whereas making a peculiar proposal. Jung Ah (Gong Hyo Jin), the downstairs spouse, seems each unsettled and intrigued, whereas her husband Hyun Soo (Kim Dong Wook) wears an expression of weary resignation. In contrast, Soo Kyung (Lee Ha Nee), Mr. Kim’s spouse, seems calm and composed, hinting at her eagerness to embark on an uncommon expertise.

The teaser trailer opens with a dialog between Jung Ah and Hyun Soo as they put together for dinner with their upstairs neighbors. Jung Ah instructs, “Throughout dinner, contact me naturally,” to which Hyun Soo confusedly asks, “Contact you… the place?”

From there, the teaser cuts to snippets of candid, provocative dialog on the dinner desk. When Jung Ah asks how the upstairs couple met, Soo Kyung responds, “The second we held palms, we regularly went loopy for one another.” The trailer closes with the cryptic line, “Now that we’re on the topic, how in regards to the 4 of us…,” leaving viewers intrigued by their unpredictable dinner.

“The Folks Upstairs” will premiere on the thirtieth Busan Worldwide Movie Pageant, working from October 17 to 26, earlier than opening in theaters this December.
