Oklahoma noise rockers Chat Pile and Texas-raised, Oklahoma-based guitarist and composer Hayden Pedigo have joined forces for a brand new collaborative LP, In The Earth Once more, arriving October 31.

In The Earth Once more finds Chat Pile experimenting with moodier preparations, tape manipulation, and a few of their most weak lyrics up to now, whereas Pedigo channels his pastoral soundscapes into one thing darker, weaving visceral textures with metallic grit. The result’s a report that feels each dissonant and seamless, the place either side pushes the opposite into new territory.

Immediately, the duo unveiled the album’s second single, “Demon Time.” Chat Pile vocalist Raygun Busch explains: “Chatting with Yeats‘ widening gyre, issues are falling aside. Unhealthy to worse or painful transfer in direction of one thing higher is anybody’s guess, however we live by means of a troublesome time. The cycle continues eternally, although. This is likely one of the first songs we recorded for the brand new report and is the wellspring from which the remainder of the lyrical concepts circulation.”

Pedigo provides: “This observe feels just like the gateway to the remainder of the album. The calm earlier than the storm. It could be my favourite observe on the report simply because it units the tone so properly. It is eerie calm and you already know one thing could be coming across the nook.”

Framed by means of a free however ever-present narrative soaked in apocalyptic subtext, In The Earth Once more paints a portrait of societal collapse — from the brutality of an lively apocalypse to the eerie stillness that lingers in its aftermath. Throughout its thirty-six minutes, the report cycles between haunted magnificence and unflinching aggression, embodying each the violence and quiet of a dying world.
