Melody’s Echo Chamber has introduced a brand new album, Unclouded, and accompanying tour of the USA and Europe. Under, take a look at the dates and watch the gauzy, Diane Sagnier–directed video for “Within the Stars.” Domino is releasing the Emotional Everlasting follow-up on December 5.
The title of Unclouded is taken from a Hayao Miyazaki quote about attaining equilibrium, a press launch notes: “You need to see with eyes unclouded by hate. See the nice in that which is evil, and the evil in that which is nice. Pledge your self to neither aspect.” Melody Prochet provides, “I used to really feel nostalgic rising into maturity, however now that I perceive that idea of impermanence, I don’t take it as personally anymore.”
Prochet made the album with co-producer and co-writer Sven Wunder; strings participant Josefin Runsteen; Dina Ögon guitarist Daniel Ögen and bassist Love Orsan (“masters of the velvet groove,” says Prochet); Heliocentrics drummer Malcolm Catto; and Dungen guitarist Reine Fiske. The latest El Michels Affair collaboration “Daisy” additionally seems on the LP.
