Veteran New York Metropolis purveyors of metalcore Merauder have formally introduced the addition of guitarist Marc Rizzo (ex-Soulfly, Sick Niño) to their lineup.
In an announcement shared over the weekend, the band wrote: “Merauder is proud to formally welcome Marc Rizzo to the band. Widely known for his formidable contributions to Soulfly and Sick Niño, Marc brings a wealth of expertise, technical mastery, and a commanding stage presence to the lineup.
“With Marc now on board, we’re excited to witness the highly effective synergy between him and guitarist Kevin Mahon, alongside the dynamic rhythm part of Gabe Saldivar (bass) and Ely Castillo (drums). Collectively, they’re set to start engaged on new materials that guarantees to push the boundaries of Merauder‘s sound.”
With Rizzo‘s addition, the group is reportedly making ready new materials and stay dates for 2026, marking a reinvigorated chapter for one among New York’s most influential and enduring heavy acts.
“With 2026 on the horizon, Merauder is primed to ship an unforgettable 12 months crammed with new music, stay performances, and extra,” the band added. “Keep tuned for thrilling updates as we embark on this new chapter. Massive issues are on the way in which.”
