Followers of the 1975 had been left puzzled this week by the disappearance from streaming providers of “Human Too,” an album observe from 2022’s Being Funny in a Foreign Language. Now, Matthew Healy has taken to Reddit to elucidate its absence: “Human Too was faraway from the album so the album is extra how I would like it to be.” he wrote. That clears that up, then. Whereas it’s now commonplace for artists to tweak albums post-release—usually for causes to do with sample clearance or perfectionism—retroactively wiping a track, three years after the actual fact, is extra of a novelty. Healy famous in his remark, presumably for these unfamiliar with the mechanics of bodily media, that “Human Too” nonetheless seems on prior bodily releases of the album.
