    The Messthetics and James Brandon Lewis have returned to the studio for a follow-up to their 2024 self-titled album. The Washington, D.C. outfit has titled its subsequent LP Deface the Foreign money. Take heed to the only “Gestations” under, and scroll down for his or her new tour dates. The album arrives February 20, by way of Impulse!

    The Messthetics—the band fashioned round Fugazi rhythm part Joe Lally and Brendan Canty—launched their debut album in 2018 and a follow-up a 12 months later, earlier than uniting with jazz saxophonist Lewis.
