    The previous Unearth and As I Lay Dying guitarist has joined the Massachusetts metalcore veterans following the departure of Jason Richardson, who exited the band final July after almost seven years. Richardson initially stepped into the position in late 2018, following the tragic passing of founding guitarist Oliver “Oli” Herbert.

    Susi confirmed the information on Monday, January 12, sharing a heartfelt assertion on social media that highlighted each his deep private historical past with the band and the emotional weight of the position he’s entering into.

    “I’m extremely honored to be becoming a member of All That Stays as their new guitarist,” Susi wrote. “My connection to this band goes again to the late ’90s, after I first met Mike [Martin], Oli and Phil [Labonte] at underground exhibits in Western Massachusetts.”

    In keeping with Susi, these childhood within the New England steel scene helped form his musical identification — making his arrival in All That Stays really feel much less like a brand new chapter and extra like a return. “These early days formed a lot of who I’m, and coming again collectively now really feels full circle,” he added.

    Susi additionally addressed the importance of changing Oliver Herbert, who co-founded All That Stays and helped outline the band’s sound earlier than his demise in 2018. “I’m additionally deeply honored to step in for my late pal Oli Herbert,” Susi stated. “Oli was not solely a rare musician, however an in depth pal whose presence and affect will all the time be felt.”
