Bret Michaels has issued an oblique response to latest claims from Poison drummer Rikki Rockett that the band’s 2026 reunion tour collapsed over alleged contract and pay disputes.

The Poison frontman addressed Rockett, guitarist C.C. DeVille, and bassist Bobby Dall in a Facebook post, hanging a notably upbeat, diplomatic observe whereas stopping wanting immediately addressing the monetary allegations.

“To Inexperienced Day and Dangerous Bunny – congratulations on the Tremendous Bowl live performance,” Michaels wrote. “I can’t wait to look at it and I can’t wait to announce a Bucket Record NFL dream come true (keep tuned…).”

Turning his consideration to Rockett, Michaels added: “To my good friend Rikki Rockett – have enjoyable tonight with my good buddy Eddie Trunk and benefit from the Metallic Corridor Of Fame ceremony.”

Michaels went on to reaffirm the traditional Poison lineup, writing: “As all the time, I think about Poison to be Bobby, C.C., Rikki and myself. I additionally make no bones about loving the BMB and can all the time have each in my life. Backside line – I like music, I like the followers and I am all the time perpetually grateful. Onward & upward and let’s all concentrate on the constructive in 2026, and the potential of a future reunion.”

Michaels‘ feedback arrive simply weeks after Rockett told Page Six that Poison‘s previously proposed 2026 tour meant to mark the 40th anniversary of the band’s 1986 debut Look What the Cat Dragged In had been scrapped following disagreements over compensation.

“We had an important provide [for a tour this year], I assumed. However we left the desk,” Rockett stated. “It did not work.”

Based on Rockett, the sticking level got here all the way down to pay construction. “Actually what it got here to was [guitarist] C.C., Bobby and I had been all in, and I assumed Bret was, however he wished the lion’s share of the cash, to the purpose the place it makes it not attainable to even do it,” he defined.

Rockett alleged that the break up would have closely favored the singer: “It is like $6 to each one among our greenbacks. You simply cannot work that manner.”

Whereas Rockett emphasised that his love for the band outweighs monetary issues, he was candid concerning the actuality of touring. “I do not do that only for the cash,” he stated. “I do have a love for this, completely. However on the identical time, you do not wish to exit and work actually exhausting simply to make someone else a bunch of cash.”

Rockett even dismissed hypothesis about changing Michaels outright, calling the thought a last-ditch possibility. “It isn’t out of the query. However doing that’s like surgical procedure: it is the final resort. I do not wish to try this. I am not quarreling with Bret… We simply did not come to settlement. I do not prefer it, and I will say that, but it surely’s not like, ‘Let’s put up our dukes.’ I do not suppose there’s a greater frontman for Poison.”

Poison final toured collectively in 2022, after they joined Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard on a blockbuster stadium run that reignited nostalgia for ’80s exhausting rock and glam steel. Since then, Michaels has continued performing Poison-heavy units together with his solo band, protecting the catalog alive on phases throughout the U.S.
