Terence Stamp, the veteran British actor who performed Normal Zod in Christopher Reeve’s Superman movies, and later earned a BAFTA for his portrayal of a trans lady in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, has died on the age of 87.
“He leaves behind a unprecedented physique of labor, each as an actor and as a author that can proceed to the touch and encourage folks for years to come back,” Stamp’s household stated stated in a press release asserting his passing on Sunday, August seventeenth. “We ask for privateness at this unhappy time.
Stamp’s different notable on-screen credit included Billy Budd, his 1962 movie debut for which he earned an Oscar nomination for Finest Supporting Actor; the lead function in Steven Soderbergh’s 1999 crime thriller The Limey; and as Chancellor Finis Valorum in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
