The Piedmont Highland Dance annual ceilidh on Could sixth was properly attended and an important success! Many because of all who attended and carried out and to those that helped arrange and clear up.
PHD dancers carried out many choices from the usual Highland repertoire, such because the Sword dance, Seann Triubhas and the Strathspey and Reel. Dances such because the Lilt and Flora from the Nationals repertoire have been additionally carried out. Viewers members have been requested to hitch in any of the dances they knew, so the ground was packed for the Fling in addition to many different dances. Our because of Ethan Freifeld who fiddled an ideal Irish Washerwoman for the Highland Jig dancers.
Pipers and drummers have been properly represented and nice crowd pleasers! The Piedmont Highlanders Pipe Band, and Eric Leiken (PM) with John (facet drummer) of Dunvegan Pipe Band carried out band units, solos and performed for dancers. Pipes and drums add a lot to the ceilidh!
The New World Dancers entertained us with their pretty nation dance units, and their women step dance group carried out some dazzling high-energy choreographed items. Wow!
Many different performers shared their expertise with us equivalent to Elizabeth Davis dancing an awe-inspiring Irish slip-jig, Kirsty Fitch singing stunning conventional Scottish music and Lynne Miller piping pretty gradual airs.
In between all of this, we managed to deliver viewers and performers collectively for a number of ceilidh and nation dances taught by Elheran Francis.
