The sonically masterful trio Psychonaut have simply launched their third document, World Maker, this previous Friday (twenty fourth of October). The forthcoming album comes after the band’s spectacular debut with Unfold The God Man in 2020 and their follow-up LP, Violate Consensus Actuality in 2022, all a smorgasbord of complicated technicalities and polyrhythms that may each soothe and excite concurrently.
With shoegaze components tucked between constructions of progressive post-metal, accentuated with items of psychedelic rock, Psychonaut‘s latest enterprise is sonically each an intense and refrained expertise that pushes and pulls like a tide. In 10 tracks, vocalist and guitarist Stefan de Graef, vocalist and bassist Thomas Michiels, and drummer Hurt Peters, assemble a story concerning the “childlike marvel that we regularly lose someplace alongside the road as we develop into adults,” de Graef explains of the brand new document.
