    Devonté Hynes has formally introduced Essex Honey, his first Blood Orange studio album since 2018. Hynes wrote, produced, and recorded his follow-up to Negro Swan, and he acquired contributions from: Lorde, Caroline Polachek, Daniel Caesar, Mustafa, Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates, Tariq Al-Sabir, Ian Isiah, Tirzah, Eva Tolkin, Moist singer Kelly Zutrau, Liam Benzvi, Amandla Stenberg, Naomi Scott, and acclaimed creator Zadie Smith.

    To go together with the album announcement, Hynes has shared two new songs: “Somewhere in Between” and “Mind Loaded,” the latter of which options Caroline Polachek, Lorde, and Mustafa. Hear the 2 new songs beneath. See the duvet paintings for Essex Honey beneath, too.

    Essex Honey is out August 29 through RCA. It follows Hynes’ latest work on Lorde and Turnstile’s respective new albums. He not too long ago shared his album’s first single, “The Field,” and announced a tour.

    Since Negro Swan, Hynes has launched the mixtape Angel’s Pulse and an EP referred to as Four Songs. He’s additionally shared a number of soundtrack albums, together with ones for Mainstream, In Treatment, and Master Gardener.
