Cheap Trick have taken plenty of warmth for performing on the Donald Trump-hosted Kennedy Center Honors, the place they performed “Rock and Roll All Nite” in tribute to KISS.
In an announcement posted to social media on Wednesday, the band insisted that there have been no political motives of their resolution to play the December seventh occasion: “We had been requested to carry out at this 12 months’s Kennedy Middle Honors ceremony to pay tribute to our lifelong brothers in KISS, and to assist artists and the humanities. We agreed to do it for these causes, and no others.”
KISS had been honored alongside Sylvester Stallone, Gloria Gaynor, and others on the Kennedy Middle Honors. The occasion will probably be broadcast on CBS on December twenty third at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
