Danny L Harle has tapped PinkPantheress for a brand new tune. “Starlight” is the British producer’s first new music as lead artist since releasing his debut solo album, Harlecore, in 2021—and his first single for brand new house label, XL Recordings. Take heed to it beneath.

Harle stated in a press launch, “‘Starlight’ reaches for a type of euphoric melancholy—a guiding mild in all of my music. It’s formed by my love of the melancholic songwriting traditions of Europe from composers like Monteverdi and John Dowland, all the best way to ’90s Eurodance and the uplifting trance of the 2000s—artists like Gigi D’Agostino and Alice Deejay. PinkPantheress is the dream collaborator for this tune, her love for decorative melodies and hypnotic lyricism match completely into my sound world.”

In Might, PinkPantheress shared the mixtape Fancy That. She’ll take her An Evening With PinkPantheress Tour to North America this autumn. As a producer, Harle has most lately labored on Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism and Oklou’s Choke Enough. He’s spent the final two weeks teasing “Starlight” on social media beneath the alias “__.ccccccccc.__.”

Examine PinkPantheress’ “Ache” at No. 90 in “The 100 Best Songs of the 2020s So Far.”
