    DEFTONES Announces New Album Private Music For August, Streams Lumbering First Single “My Mind Is A Mountain”

    After practically three a long time of redefining heavy music, Deftones return with a daring new chapter: Non-public Music, a tightly crafted 11-track album that reaffirms the band’s place as one of the crucial adventurous and emotionally resonant forces in trendy rock. Set towards a backdrop of existential reflection and pure magnificence, personal music is being hailed as one of the crucial targeted and refined statements within the band’s storied profession.

    With their upcoming album Non-public Music on the horizon, Deftones have unveiled a towering new single, “My Thoughts Is A Mountain” — and it’s sure to hit house for longtime followers of the band’s heavier, mood-drenched facet.

    Large, brooding, and steeped in ambiance, the monitor performs like a religious cousin to the band’s White Pony and self-titled-era sluggish burns, mixing sludge-weight riffs with dreamlike textures and Chino Moreno‘s haunting vocal efficiency.     Becoming a member of Deftones‘ core lineup – Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham, and Frank Delgado – is touring bassist Fred Sablan, who seems on the album.
