Legendary Florida dying steel veterans Deicide have formally recruited Jadran “Conan” Gonzalez (Exmortus) as their new guitarist, following the latest departure of long-time member Kevin Quirion. Conan will make his first reside look with the band on their upcoming Latin American tour supporting Behemoth.
Conan expressed his pleasure at becoming a member of the band, saying in an announcement: “I am thrilled and honored to jam amongst such legends as Glen and Steve and to hold with the remainder of the crew. I thank them for having me on board. I am wanting ahead to unleashing hell in Latin America on this tour.”
The lineup change comes shortly after Quirion confirmed his exit from Deicide in Could, ending a 15-year tenure with the band. In a private assertion, Quirion cited household priorities and a want to step away from touring as his causes for leaving: “So after 15 years I made a decision to depart the band final month. Primarily I am simply completed with touring and want to spend the additional time with my household.
“I’ll nonetheless be writing songs and have already despatched some to Derek Roddy and Sean Baxter to launch beneath the Council Of The Fallen identify. There might be no labels or exhibits, simply placing out EPs at any time when we really feel prefer it.
