Norwegian producer Dublon has launched his debut EP Nectar, out now on French label Delicieuse Musique. Mixing deep home with dwell jazz parts, the seven-track undertaking displays Dublon’s background in classical efficiency and membership tradition, that includes a mixture of instrumental textures and rhythmic depth.
The EP contains collaborations with New Zealand jazz icon Nathan Haines, Stockholm’s TABLE, Texas alt-pop artist Deza, and French producer Tour-Maubourg. Tracks like “Salve” and “CPH” mix heat melodies with dancefloor construction, whereas “Brush” and the piano-led title monitor provide extra introspective moments.
Describing Nectar as “the soundtrack to a European summer time,” Dublon notes the undertaking attracts inspiration from touring, meals, and time spent throughout Europe. “It’s groovy, melancholic, and stuffed with unimaginable musicians I’ve been fortunate to work with,” he says.
The discharge coincides with a headline present at London’s Jazz Café on April 19, following dates in Paris, Amsterdam, and Madrid. Dublon’s current singles have earned over 5 million streams, with assist from KCRW, FIP, Enjoyable Radio, RTBF, and SiriusXM, and viral traction on TikTok contributing to his 1.6M month-to-month listeners.
