Slipknot‘s subsequent chapter is inching nearer, in response to new drummer Eloy Casagrande. In a current look on Drummer’s Review, Casagrande supplied a much-needed replace on Slipknot‘s progress within the studio. Although the band has but to launch any official new materials with Casagrande behind the package, he confirmed that writing is effectively underway.

“What I can let you know proper now could be that we’re cooking, we’re performing some new music, for certain. Sure, we’re,” Casagrande stated. “Since I joined the band, we now have been engaged on some new concepts. We maintain exchanging guitar riffs, drum beats, so we’re at all times doing one thing.

“We had additionally some jam periods. So we now have a variety of materials proper now. We simply have to sit down and put every little thing collectively, begin jamming, and it is occurring. It already occurred. It is gonna occur sooner or later. So new materials is coming, for certain.”

Slipknot beforehand teased a new song titled “Long May You Die” all the best way again in Might 2024, shortly after Casagrande joined the band. However as of now, the monitor stays unreleased. On the time, Slipknot acknowledged that the track was a part of a writing session that passed off shortly after Casagrande‘s induction into the lineup. It was described as their “first monitor collectively,” but it is nonetheless nowhere to be discovered. So perhaps we’ll get that first?

In the meantime, guitarist Jim Root has also teased the sonic direction the band might take. In Might 2025, Root revealed he had about six “strong” track concepts within the financial institution and expressed a want to return to Slipknot‘s earlier, extra chaotic roots: “I wish to make a uncooked album that type of like, you already know, I do not ever wish to repeat myself, we do not as a band ever wish to repeat ourselves.

“However I want to revisit the uncooked vitality of how these first two data had been recorded and even into the Quantity 3 document…. There’s simply one thing actually stripped down and punk rock about it and I believe we have been lacking that on our previous few data and I believe it is time to get again to that in some methods.”

So it is most likely protected to imagine that new Slipknot is coming in 2026. And maybe Look Outside Your Window as well, although I am not holding my breath we’ll ever hear that document at this level.
