Fleet Foxes have shared a brand new cowl of Elliott Smith’s New Moon track “Angel in the Snow.” Robin Pecknold recorded the quilt for the soundtrack to the brand new Christmas comedy movie Oh. What. Fun. Take heed to the monitor beneath.
In a press assertion, Pecknold mentioned “‘Angel within the Snow’ has at all times been considered one of my favourite songs by Elliott, one I’d at all times hearken to across the holidays, so it was an enormous pleasure to make this for such a candy movie. It wasn’t even my concept! Took me again to handing out ‘RIP Elliott’ flyers at my highschool commencement in 2004. Elliott Smith perpetually.”
Oh. What. Enjoyable. (Authentic Movement Image Soundtrack) is out December 3 through Sony Music Masterworks. It consists of Sharon Van Etten’s latest cowl of the Pretenders’ “2000 Miles,” together with contributions from Weyes Blood, St. Vincent, Gwen Stefani, Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, and others.
