Geelong Arts Centre has launched its vibrant SEASON 2026, a year-long invitation to step through the door into stories that open new worlds, right in the heart of Geelong. Building on the record-breaking success of 2025, the Centre will present more than 32 shows across 86 performances, alongside a thrilling mix of theatre, dance, live music, comedy giants, family entertainment, and proud local productions.

At the heart of the season are powerful stories of women who changed everything. Audiences will witness Heather Mitchell as Ruth Bader Ginsburg in Sydney Theatre Company’s RBG: Of Many, One, and celebrate Geelong’s own Chrissy Amphlett in Amplified: The Exquisite Rock and Rage of Chrissy Amphlett. Suzie Miller’s award-winning Strong is the New Pretty makes its Victorian premiere, telling the rule-breaking story of women’s footy, while Australian icon Noni Hazlehurst stars in the poignant solo The Lark, and Alison Whyte leads Melbourne Theatre Company’s The Glass Menagerie. ILBIJERRI Theatre Company, under Rachael Maza’s direction, presents Gunawarra Re-creation, a moving celebration of Taungurung strength and Black women’s healing.

For those craving the unexpected, the REWIRE program delivers bold and unconventional work that challenges and moves in equal measure. Highlights include Back to Back Theatre’s world-premiere I Am in a Parasocial Relationship with Britney Spears, Connor Morel’s heartfelt musical Good Man about masculinity and meeting your father for the first time, Karma Dance Inc.’s visually stunning Temple of Desire, Gillian Cosgriff’s razor-sharp musical comedy, Joel Bray’s Swallow, and re:group performance’s cinematic POV.

Joyful daytime performances fill the Delightful Days & Matinees series, with Heart & Music starring Simon Gleeson and Natalie O’Donnell, Denis Walter singing timeless favourites, James Bond Classics, and Bernadette Robinson’s They Sang at Carnegie Hall. Young audiences and their families are invited into worlds of wonder through Robot Song, Where is the Green Sheep?, Moss Piglet, Alphabet of Awesome Science, Room on the Broom, and Wolfgang in the Stars, while the much-loved Geelong Wonder Children’s Festival returns to light up Little Malop Street.

Whether it’s your first visit or a lifelong love, Geelong Arts Centre welcomes everyone to open the door to something extraordinary in 2026.

Tickets for SEASON 2026 are on sale now. Discover the full program at geelongartscentre.org.au.
