On Sunday night time, KISS’s founding members will probably be celebrated by Donald Trump with the Kennedy Middle Honors. The band’s guitarist, Ace Frehley, will probably be inducted posthumously, after passing away due to accidents maintain from a fall in his New Jersey residence studio in October.
In a brand new interview with the New York Post forward of the Kennedy Middle Honors, KISS bandmate Gene Simmons claimed that “dangerous selections” led to Frehley’s fall, implying substance abuse could have performed a job.
“He refused [advice] from those that cared about him – together with yours really – to attempt to change his life-style,” Simmons stated. “Out and in of dangerous selections. Falling down the steps — I’m not a health care provider — doesn’t kill you. There could have been different points, and it breaks my coronary heart.”

A health worker determined that Frehley suffered a cranium fracture, a subdural hematoma (mind bleed), and a stroke because of the autumn. After being placed on life help, he died on the age of 74 on October sixteenth. A toxicology report has not but been launched.
As of 2024, Frehley stated he had been sober for 18 years.
