    Jane’s Addiction Members Sue Perry Farrell Over Onstage Fight and Canceled Tour

    Guitarist Dave Navarro, bassist Eric Avery, and drummer Stephen Perkins are suing Perry Farrell over the onstage fight that led to the cancellation of Jane’s Addiction’s reunion tour. The incident occurred in September throughout a present in Boston, and it basically led to the band’s dissolution.

    Based on TMZ and Rolling Stone, Navarro, Avery, and Perkins are suing Farrell for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional misery, negligence, breach of fiduciary obligation, and breach of contract. In addition they declare that they misplaced over $10 million in potential earnings because of canceled reveals and the shortcoming to make a brand new album, which might have been the primary from the basic Jane’s Habit lineup since 1990.

    Based on Rolling Stone, the previous Jane’s Habit members allege within the lawsuit that Farrell was usually intoxicated on tour and through reveals. “The issues with Perry’s efficiency would usually worsen because the night time wore on and he grew to become extra intoxicated,” the lawsuit reportedly reads.

    The musicians and their legal professional, Christopher Frost, reportedly allege within the criticism that “Perry’s repeated and unprovoked assault on Navarro was particularly painful as a result of Perry knew that Navarro was nonetheless weak and affected by the results of lengthy COVID-19.” The assault apparently continued backstage, too, with Farrell throwing “one other sudden punch at [Navarro], hanging him on the left facet of the face.”

    After the incident, Frost instructed Rolling Stone, Farrell “abruptly and unilaterally ended all of the plans for a Jane’s Habit revival” and “left his bandmates holding the bag for an unfulfilled tour and report deal.”

    Jane’s Habit started their comeback once they shared the brand new track “Imminent Redemption” in June 2024. A second new track, “True Love,” arrived simply days after the Boston incident. Based on the lawsuit, they’d eight extra tracks they have been going to complete after the tour.

    Pitchfork has reached out to Christopher Frost and representatives for Jane’s Habit and Perry Farrell for remark and extra info.
