BAND-MAID and their melodic J-metal performs on the notion of tempo and dynamics, making a whiplash-like impact on their latest EP, SCOOOOOP. Launched this previous Friday (twenty fourth of October), whereas the band technically classifies themselves as “rock,” there are far too many blast-beats for them to suit comfortably in that style. Basic steel parts of shredding guitar solos are accompanied by the addition of the occasional thrash second, and it is invigorating moments are counterbalanced with melodic anthems.
Two of the EPs tracks, “Zen,” and “Prepared To Rock,” are literally the opening theme songs for 2 main Japanese anime sequence, Rock Is A Girl’s Modesty and ZENSHU, with the lead single, “What Is Justice?” gaining over 2.4 million views since its launch twelve weeks in the past. 2025 has continued to award BAND-MAID for his or her exhausting work as they have been hailed the official ambassador for Report Day 2025 and acquired assist from Kerrang!, Billboard, Outburn, and Crunchyroll.
