Legendary rock veterans Journey have determined how they need to shut the circle.
In early 2026, the band will embark on the Closing Frontier farewell tour – offered by AEG Presents – a sprawling first North American leg of 60 dates, starting February 28 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and working via July 2 in Laredo, Texas.
“This tour is our heartfelt thank-you to the followers who’ve been with us each step of the best way — via each music, each period, each excessive and low,” Journey guitarist and founder Neal Schon stated in an announcement. “We’re pulling out all of the stops with a brand-new manufacturing — the hits, the deep cuts, the vitality, the spectacle. It is a full-circle celebration of the music that is introduced us all collectively.”
“As its founding member, I carry the Journey torch to today, wherever I am going,” Schon added. “The sentiment and spirit of the band will at all times stay. Whereas this marks a farewell to at least one highly effective chapter of the Journey we have shared, I need everybody to know I am not achieved. Music continues to be burning robust inside me, and there are new artistic horizons forward. This tour is each a thank-you and the start of what is subsequent.”
Longtime keyboardist Jonathan Cain framed the tour via the same lens of closure and connection. “It has been an unimaginable journey. We have shared our music with tens of millions and this tour is about gratitude, connection and one final likelihood to really feel that magic collectively. We would not need it every other manner.”
Frontman Arnel Pineda, whose YouTube discovery by Schon in 2007 reshaped the band’s fashionable period, mirrored on his position with attribute humility. “I am honored to be a part of this legacy, and I am grateful for having been welcomed with such open arms. Each night time on stage has been a dream come true.”
Becoming a member of Schon, Cain, and Pineda on stage shall be keyboardist/singer Jason Derlatka, drummer/singer Deen Castronovo, and bassist Todd Jensen.
