Juana Molina is again. The Argentine singer-songwriter has introduced Doga, her first album since 2017’s Halo. Main the brand new album is “Siestas Ahí.” Hearken to the brand new music, co-produced by Molina and Emilio Haro, under. See the album paintings under, too.
Doga is out November 5 by way of Molina’s personal label, Sonamos. Molina started to conceive of the album as she was getting ready to play a series of improvisational concerts with keyboardist Odín Schwartz in 2019. “The concept was to play as if I have been at house, that’s, to improvise,” the artist defined in an announcement. “It was a duo principally of analog synthesizers and sequencers. We recorded all the pieces—so many hours—as a result of there was no approach to reproduce what we did; each rehearsals and reveals have been distinctive. A few of these concepts have been later picked up once more.” Molina continued to work on the music in 2022 and 2024, in the end ending the album with Emilio Haro.
