The president of the Kennedy Center is demanding $1 million in damages from a performer who canceled a scheduled Christmas live performance on the Washington, DC, venue in protest of its latest title change.

Chuck Redd has led the Kennedy Middle’s “Jazz Jams” Christmas live performance since 2006. However final Friday, he pulled the plug on this 12 months’s efficiency following Donald Trump’s hand-picked board of trustees voting to rename the venue “The Donald J. Trump and The John F. Kennedy Memorial Middle for the Performing Arts.”

Now, Kennedy Middle president Rick Grenell has responded by saying he plans to hunt $1 million in damages from Redd over what he known as “this political stunt.”

“Your resolution to withdraw on the final second — explicitly in response to the Middle’s latest renaming, which honors President Trump’s extraordinary efforts to avoid wasting this nationwide treasure — is traditional intolerance and really expensive to a non-profit Arts establishment,” Grenell wrote in a letter obtained by The Related Press.

Probably simply as expensive for a nonprofit arts establishment just like the Trump-Kennedy Middle will not be having its own domain name, however who am I do inform Grenell learn how to do his job?
