Damon Albarn has launched one other music from the forthcoming Gorillaz album The Mountain. The brand new single, “The God of Lying,” options Idles. Test it out under.
Albarn wrote “The God of Mendacity” with Idles frontman Joe Talbot. He recorded it in London and Devon, England, and Mumbai, with bansuri participant Ajay Prasanna and percussionist Viraj Acharya. In a press release, Gorillaz’s fictional frontman, 2D, mentioned, “Can I let you know a secret? Doubt could be very tiring however questioning issues is admittedly good for you.”
The Mountain is out March 20. The follow-up to 2023’s Cracker Island consists of current singles “The Happy Dictator” (that includes Sparks) and “The Manifesto” (that includes Trueno and the late D12 rapper Proof).
