Mal Devisa has introduced a brand new anthology album titled Palimpsesa. The gathering of 29 songs options poet, singer, and songwriter Deja Carr’s early work and a few beforehand unreleased materials, all of which has been newly blended and remastered. Under, hear to 2 re-released tracks, “Old Intro” and “Skyline Arms-Reach Out,” each of which initially appeared on 2021’s Wisdom Teeth.
Palimpsesa consists of work from Mal Devisa’s 2014 EPs, For Daisy Honey and 4U; her 2016 full-length debut, Kiid; and 2018’s Shade and the Little Creature. The title of the brand new album is a play on the phrase “palimpsest,” which Merriam-Webster defines as “writing materials (comparable to a parchment or pill) used a number of instances after earlier writing has been erased.”
Palimpsesa is out July 30 through Topshelf. The label beforehand handled a 2022 reissue of Kiid.
