The mighty Metallica got here to the rescue after a fireplace destroyed the primary stage of the Tomorrowland competition in Belgium threatened to cancel the EDM gathering only a couple days earlier than it was set to kick off. The legendary steel band lent the fest its stage that was in storage in close by Austria.

As beforehand reported, the frilly foremost stage for Tomorrowland was decimated in a massive fire on Wednesday (July sixteenth), with the fest set to kick off on Friday (July 18th) that includes EDM heavyweights like Swedish Home Mafia, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Deadmau5, and others all through the three-day weekend.

Metallica’s set, that includes an enormous wall of video screens (apparently from the band’s “WorldWired Tour”), was being saved in Austria and was airlifted to Belgium in a single day, as reported by Belgian information outlet HLN, and the competition miraculously kicked off with out a hitch on Friday.

Dutch DJ Martin Garrix, who carried out on Friday, posted a photograph of himself with Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich on Instagram previous to his set, and wrote, “I cannot imagine I’m really typing this… however my set at Tomorrowland continues to be occurring! Huge love and a giant shoutout to the unimaginable @tomorrowland crew for pulling off miracles — and to @Metallica for coming by way of with the brand new stage components.”

Metallica, who landed three LPs on Consequence‘s latest record of the 75 Best Metal Albums of All Time, launched into a European leg of their ongoing “M72 World Tour” again in 2024, and can revisit the continent for another leg in 2026 (tickets available here).

A photograph of Metallica’s stage in entrance of the destroyed foremost stage could be seen in Tomorrowland’s X/Twitter submit beneath, together with Martin Garrix’s aforementioned Instagram submit.

Editor’s Word: This text was up to date to replicate that the stage was seemingly from Metallica’s “WorldWired Tour.”
