NIGHTMARER (Ex-THE OCEAN, VALBORG) Unveils New Lineup, Streams “Shame Spiral” From Upcoming EP

Nightmarer – the band that includes vocalist John Collett (ex-Success Will Write Apocalypse Throughout the Sky, ex-Gigan), drummer Paul Seidel (ex-The Ocean Collective, ex-Conflict from a Harlots Mouth), guitarist Simon Hawemann (ex-Conflict from a Harlots Mouth), and now co-vocalist Christian Kolf (Valborg) – is again with a crushing new single and a brand new upcoming EP.

Nightmarer is now streaming “Disgrace Spiral” from their forthcoming EP Hell Interface, due out January 30, 2026. Should you thought Nightmarer was heavy earlier than, I believe the addition of Kolf has put them into “holy shit” territory when it comes to crushing-ness.

“Disgrace Spiral’ captures the band in a state of deliberate transformation: a rawer, extra fast evolution of the suffocating dissonance and meticulous sound design heard on their earlier album Deformity Adrift,” wrote Nightmarer. “Blackened atmospheres, tectonic doom, and atonal violence collide in a downward pull that feels inescapable.”

Anyway, as soon as you have put your face again collectively and reattached your backbone, pre-order Hell Interface here.
