Future Ruins, the film-music pageant organized by Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, has been canceled a month earlier than its deliberate launch in Los Angeles. The pageant cited “logistical challenges and problems” that might stop it from materializing as deliberate, through a statement on social media. Refunds will likely be issued robotically, in response to the assertion.

In addition to Reznor and Ross, John Carpenter, Mark Mothersbaugh, Questlove, Goblin, and Hildur Guðnadóttir had been among the many composers booked for the pageant’s inaugural version on November 8 at L.A.’s Equestrian Middle. Billed by Reside Nation because the “first of its form,” it was conceived as a chance for composers “to inform new tales in an attention-grabbing dwell setting,” Reznor stated within the preliminary announcement. “There’s no headliner. There’s no hierarchy. It is a stacked lineup of visionaries doing one thing you won’t see once more.”

The organizers’ assertion reads, “Sadly Future Ruins is not going to transfer ahead this 12 months. The truth is, attributable to plenty of logistical challenges and problems, we really feel we can not present the expertise that’s outlined what this occasion was all the time meant to be. Fairly than compromise, we’re selecting to re-think and re-evaluate.”

9 Inch Nails lately launched their newest soundtrack, Tron: Ares, and introduced a new North American leg of their Peel It Again tour with Boyz Noise.
