    Oakville Symphony Presents A Family Holiday Concert On December 14

    The Oakville Symphony is stepping into the spirit of the season with its annual Household Vacation Live performance, that includes two performances on December 14. Together with the members of the OS, there shall be particular appearances by members of the Oakville Symphony Youth Orchestra (OSYO) and the Oakville Choir for Kids and Youth.

    Conductor Lorenzo Guggenheim

    The Oakville Symphony is led by Music Director & Conductor Lorenzo Guggenheim.

    A local of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Lorenzo immigrated to Canada in 2018. He’s been learning piano, together with jazz and common music, since he was a baby, and commenced formal research in Argentina. He graduated from the Pontifical Catholic College of Argentina licensed in Orchestral Conducting, and in addition studied Modern Music Ensemble Conducting’s Diploma in Conservatorio de Musica “Manuel de Falla” in Buenos Aires. He carried out within the Teatro Colon with the Educational Orchestra of its Institute for the Arts.

    Lorenzo studied studied choral and opera conducting, together with superior jazz research and American musical historical past on the College of Washington College of Music, incomes his Grasp’s diploma in Orchestra Conducting.

    In 2023, he participated within the Mentorship program of the Nationwide Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa. He has labored with mentors corresponding to Bramwell Tovey, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Alexander Shelley, Christian Mācelaru, Steven Sloane, Ken Kiesler and Mark Gibson
