The upcoming movie “The Ugly” has unveiled a deeper take a look at Park Jung Min’s twin roles!

Directed by Yeon Sang Ho, “The Ugly” follows the story of Im Dong Hwan (Park Jung Min), the son of Im Younger Gyu (Kwon Hae Hyo)—a blind man who has develop into a talented seal artisan—as he investigates the mysterious dying of his mom, whose physique was secretly buried for the previous 40 years.

Park Jung Min will tackle twin roles within the movie, portraying each the younger Im Younger Gyu—a visually impaired grasp of seal engraving—and his son Im Dong Hwan. He performs a husband who has by no means seen his spouse’s face and a son trying to find the mom he’s by no means seen since delivery.

Notably, the concept for the twin roles got here from Park Jung Min himself. He shared, “If it’s a movie made with good intentions and which means, I wished to contribute in my very own method. I requested the director who could be taking part in the youthful Im Younger Gyu, and when he mentioned it hadn’t been determined but, I mentioned I’d wish to tackle the problem [and proposed the dual roles].”

To painting Im Younger Gyu, Park Jung Min wore a wig and particular clouded contact lenses, and he mastered the craft of seal engraving.

Director Yeon Sang Ho mentioned, “He confirmed nice dedication, from finding out the script to personally studying seal engraving strategies.”

He added, “Im Dong Hwan is a personality whose reactions whereas listening to the 5 interviews are particularly vital, and since he expressed them in an unconventional method, it makes the movie much more immersive.”

“The Ugly” is ready to hit theaters in September.
