Florence Value’s abiding curiosity within the literary arts helps clarify the terribly giant variety of vocal compositions in her catalogue – nicely over 100 – in addition to the truth that she sometimes provided texts of her personal for these items. Conductor John Jeter discusses with Raymond Bisha his newest album of Value’s music which contains a dozen of those choral works, together with Value’s two important cantatas – Abraham Lincoln Walks at Midnight and Track of Hope.

With gratitude and respect: Raymond Bisha (1957–2025)
Lover of classical music, advertising and marketing visionary, podcast pioneer.
Your last broadcast. Our fond farewell.

It’s with deep unhappiness that the Naxos household declares the passing of our pricey buddy and colleague, Raymond Bisha.

Raymond devoted almost 30 years to the Naxos household, embodying kindness, professionalism, and heat in each interplay. His in depth background as knowledgeable French horn participant, broadcaster, opera tour supervisor, and live performance organizer, mixed with many years of experience in radio, advertising and marketing, and label relations, enormously enriched our neighborhood. Raymond’s contributions have left an indelible mark on our group.

He started his Naxos journey with Naxos of Canada earlier than transitioning to Naxos of America, figuring out of his New York Metropolis residence and infrequently commuting to Nashville for conferences. In 2005, he launched the Naxos Classical Highlight podcast collection, producing over 600 episodes that featured insightful interviews with composers like Jennifer Higdon and John Corigliano, in addition to conductors similar to Marin Alsop and Sir Charles Mackerras.

Raymond’s exceptional contributions – together with the creation of Naxos en Español and numerous advertising and marketing initiatives – have profoundly impacted us all. His absence shall be deeply felt.

Throughout this troublesome time, allow us to help each other and maintain Raymond and his family members in our ideas. His unwavering love for music, ardour for discovery, and dedication to family and friends will at all times be remembered.

Relaxation in peace, pricey Raymond. Your legacy will reside on in our hearts endlessly.
