This podcast presents pianist Giorgio Koukl in dialog with Raymond Bisha on the finish of a five-year undertaking to rehabilitate the entire works for piano solo and duo by Vittorio Rieti (1898–1994). Just about self-taught, Rieti went on to determine his composing credentials, changing into the one Italian composer, for instance, to be invited to write down ballet music for Diaghalev. His neo-classical model remained a relentless in his output, as did his sense of musical humour.
