The New York Times just published their Best Songs Of 2025 list and it is largely pop and hip hop, aside from the primary spot which was claimed by the Sleep Token single “Caramel”.

The checklist was compiled by Jon Caramanica, pop music critic at The New York Occasions and host of the Popcast podcast, who had the next to say in regards to the monitor: “An enormous, gloriously foolish and brutally efficient amalgam of deserted types ripe for reinvigorating — rap-metal, dream-prog, pop-reggaeton, backpack hip-hop, cosplay rock, metalcore and extra.”

“Caramel” has been a reasonably main hit for Sleep Token. “Caramel” was the first-ever Sleep Token music to chart in prime 10 within the UK – No. 10 on the UK Singles chart and No. 1 on the UK Rock & Steel chart – and their first prime 40 single within the US, clocking in at No. 34 on the US Billboard Scorching 100. “Caramel” can also be at present nominated for a GRAMMY for “Finest Rock Efficiency” on the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.
