After years of silence, Snot have formally entered the studio to report their first new materials in over 25 years. The band is working with acclaimed producer Chris Collier (Korn, Prong), who’s overseeing the periods. These new tracks will mark the recorded debut of Andy Knapp, who joined the band as lead vocalist in 2024. Since then, Snot have been again on the street, tearing up levels and reclaiming their place within the heavy music world.

In an replace posted to their Instagram on July 13, the band shared: “Snot has simply entered the studio with producer, engineer, mixer Chris Collier @cmc21productions on the helm laying down tracks for 2 model new songs that are set to be launched late 2025 or early 2026.”

Snot initially exploded onto the scene within the late ’90s with their unpredictable and high-energy sound. Their 1997 debut Get Some turned a cult basic, showcasing the magnetic charisma of late frontman Lynn Strait. Tragically, Strait died in a automotive accident in December 1998 at simply 30 years previous – simply because the band was making ready to report their second album.

What adopted was each heartbreaking and exquisite: in 2000, Snot launched Strait Up, a tribute album that includes a number of the largest names in heavy music. Fred Durst, Jonathan Davis, Corey Taylor, Max Cavalera, and lots of extra contributed vocals in honor of Strait‘s legacy. It stays some of the emotionally charged and distinctive information to come back out of the nü-metal motion.

Within the years since, Snot exercise has been sporadic – temporary reunions, one-off reveals, and lineup shifts – however a full-scale comeback by no means absolutely materialized.

That modified in 2025. With Andy Knapp on the mic, Snot formally returned, bringing their uncooked, chaotic vitality again to the stage. Knapp could also be a newcomer, however he is been killing it stay, successful over longtime followers with ease.

Now, with new music lastly on the horizon, the comeback feels actual. Founding bassist John “Tumor” Fahnestock lately teased a brief snippet of what is to come back on social media – and whereas it is only a style, it sounds actually promising. Crushing riffs, tight grooves, and that signature Snot chew. For followers who’ve waited many years, that is the second.

The band is aiming to launch the brand new materials in late 2025 or early 2026.
