Australian hardcore band Velocity – the band that basically blew up once they had a sick flute solo on their monitor “The First Check” – is somewhat richer now as a result of they made good music. Velocity was awarded $80,000 AUD (roughly $52,000 USD) as part of the New South Wales Music Prize.
Velocity accepted the award on November 24 on the Museum Of Up to date Artwork in Sydney, Australia, stating throughout their velocity: “Respectfully, our tradition has by no means been a sport nor a contest.
