    The Toronto Children’s Choir Performs Internationally Inspired Program Before Heading Out On Tour

    The senior choir of the Toronto Youngsters’s Refrain, the TCC Chamber Choir, will probably be presenting the ultimate live performance of its season on June 21. This system is titled Can You Really feel It?, and whereas it ends the season, it kicks off a tour for the choir.

    Components of this system will journey west with the Chamber Choir on tour to Vancouver, and Powell River, BC, the place they’ll be representing Canada because the invited visitor choir on the Worldwide Choral Ḵathaumixw Pageant.

    The TCC Chamber choir consists of singers aged 12 to 18, led by Inventive Director Zimfira Poloz, with the inventive workforce of Affiliate Inventive Director Charissa Bagan, Essential Choir Assistant Conductor Michael Denomme, Collaborative Pianinst Dakota Scott-Digout, Collaborative Pianist, and Jamie Drake, Percussion.

    The live performance program for June 21 options up to date and artwork music from Canada, Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Malaysia, Slovenia, Syria, USA, Norway, Estonia, and Venezuela, together with newly commissioned works and others organized for treble choir. The Choir will probably be singing in 9 completely different languages, plus American Signal Language.

    • Singkap Siaga (Ever Prepared, Fast Change) by Tracy Wong. SSAA model is devoted to Zimfira Poloz. Sung in Malay
    • Rasa Nusantara (A Style of Nusantara), organized by Tracy Wong with choreography. Sung in Malay.
    • Eternity by Michael Bojesen, sung in English.
    • Father Thunder by Laura Jekabsone. Sung in Latvian. The treble association was created on the request of Zimfira Poloz.
    • Lao Rahal Soti, organized by Shireen Abu-Khader. Sung in Arabic
    • Ilus Hääl by Margrit Kits, organized by Laura Jekabsone for Treble Choir on the request of Zimfira Poloz. Sung in Estonian
    • Stars by Ēriks Ešenvalds, with accompaniment of tuned wine glasses, sung in English.
    • Dies Irae by Jude Roldan. Sung in Latin. Canadian Premiere
    • Earth: 1. Core by Cristian Grases. Sung in nonsense language. TCC and UofT Choruses Fee – premiered in January 2025.

    • Ta Na Solbici by Samo Vovk. Sung in Resian (Resian is a novel Slovene dialect spoken in northeastern Italy, particularly within the Resia Valley).

    Tour Particulars

    Worldwide Choral q̓at̓ᶿaymɩxʷ (Kathaumixw) was based in 1984 as a approach to have fun choral singing as it’s practiced all over the world. Greater than 1,200 singers from throughout the globe get collectively to share music and cultures.
