The College of Toronto New Music Competition (UTNMF) is offered every year by the College of Toronto School of Music, and includes a roster of Canadian and worldwide performers and friends, together with rising native expertise. Vivian Fung
JUNO Award-winning composer Vivian Fung combines diverse textures and types into her massive scale works. Many replicate her multicultural background, creating a singular and eclectic sound.

The poetry of San Francisco-based poet Jenny Lim is featured in a brand new work that premiered in October 2025.

minMAX Electroacoustic Orchestra (January 25)
The 2026 UTNMF introduces the very first pupil run minMAX Orchestra, an initiative devoted to large-scale modern efficiency. The ensemble is based and led by undergraduate composition college students Elienna Wang and Anthony Gunadi.
The minMAX Electroacoustic Orchestra is a collective of 30 college students and alumni of the College of Toronto School of Music. The ensemble was co-founded by Anthony Gunadi and Elienna Wang, and is run by pupil volunteers and pupil management of the College of Toronto, aside from technical personnel.
The performers embody Shawn Bennett: conductor; Anwen Robertson: flute; Jordan Middleton: flute, soprano saxophone, alto saxophone; Dominik Kosciolek: clarinet, alto saxophone; Fabian Nunez Ramos: clarinet, tenor saxophone; Chantelle Tom-Ying: soprano saxophone, tenor saxophone; Vaughn Corridor: alto saxophone; Min Gu Kang: baritone saxophone; Dylan Pilcher: trumpet; Miles Kobayashi: trumpet; Joseph Funk: trumpet; Kenzie Ford: trombone; Jack Shiels: tuba; Zane Shihadeh: piano, synth keyboard; Daniel Zhou: piano; Jingren Solar: piano; Jeanne Tsui: midi keyboard; Bjorn Kriel: percussion, synth keyboard; Thomas Carli: percussion; Jeffrey Zhu: percussion; Jon Bilek: percussion; Will Bentley: percussion; Giuliana Barrow Lattanzio: soprano vocal; Vincent Poon: violin; Mobin Naeini: viola; Tomas Peña: cello; Benjamin Kemppainen: double bass.

Canadian Artwork Music Undertaking (January 26)
This live performance of Canadian artwork tune celebrates girls composers from throughout Canada, that includes performances by Jonelle Sills, Jesse Blumberg, Helen Becqué, and Steven Philcox. This system contains Six Haiku and Songs of Childhood by Vivian Fung, Plato’s Angel by Leslie Uyeda, In Search of Eldorado by Larysa Kuzmenko, and The Color of Pleasure by Maria Thompson Corley.
Based by Lawrence Wiliford and Steven Philcox in 2011, the Canadian Artwork Music Undertaking is devoted to commissioning, recording, performing, and selling Canadian vocal music within the custom of artwork tune and tune cycles.
