Musicians all over the world are commemorating Ozzy Osbourne following the Black Sabbath legend’s death yesterday on the age of 76. After a collection of written tributes—from the likes of Elton John, Tom Morello, Metallica, and Jack White—artists enjoying concert events final evening celebrated Osbourne’s life and work with covers, speeches, and singalongs. Amongst them had been Coldplay and Dave Matthews Band, who each lined Black Sabbath’s “Modifications,” and former Black Midi frontperson Geordie Greep, who led his band in an instrumental covers medley in Black Sabbath’s Birmingham hometown. Watch footage of all three under.

After jamming by way of “Symptom of the Universe, “Warfare Pigs,” “N.I.B.,” “Paranoid,” “Candy Leaf,” and “Loopy Prepare” at Birmingham’s XOYO venue, Greep stated Black Sabbath “made this music that basically modified every part, they usually got here from this city.” He added, “You get a guitar, you go to a rehearsal room if you’re 12 or one thing, and also you play these songs, and you are feeling such as you’re gonna have superpowers. It’s like magic. And it was these fucking guys simply coming from this city—which isn’t precisely Beverly Hills. It’s wonderful.… Relaxation in peace.”

Elsewhere, Woman Gaga closed out a Mayhem Ball present in San Francisco by ripping open her jacket to reveal an Ozzy Osbourne T-shirt, earlier than enjoying his solo track “Loopy Prepare” by way of the PA. Cyndi Lauper led her Raleigh, North Carolina, crowd in a singalong to the identical monitor by enjoying it from her cellphone into the mic.
