    SPEED Awarded $52,000 As Part Of The New South Wales Music Prize

    Australian hardcore band Velocity – the band that basically blew up once they had a sick flute solo on their monitor “The First Check” – is somewhat richer now as a result of they made good music. Velocity was awarded $80,000 AUD (roughly $52,000 USD) as part of the New South Wales Music Prize.

    Velocity accepted the award on November 24 on the Museum Of Up to date Artwork in Sydney, Australia, stating throughout their velocity: “Respectfully, our tradition has by no means been a sport nor a contest. However we’re honoured to obtain this recognition and see this as acknowledgment of the values cultivated by the passionate souls round us.”

    Velocity was up towards DJ Ninajirachi, Rüfüs Du Sol, 3%, Barkaa, Kobie Dee, Onefour, Social gathering Dozen, Shady Nasty, and rapper Vv Pete with collaborator Utility.

    In accordance with the New South Wales’ authorities web site, the NSW Music Prize is a brand new annual prize delivered by Sound NSW, celebrating the wealthy creativity and contribution of NSW artists to the modern music sector.
